Drishyam: The Conclusion, Ajay Devgn's third and final Drishyam film, has reached Rs 540.79 crore worldwide gross after 16 days, according to Koimoi. That puts it Rs 19.21 crore short of Padmaavat's Rs 560 crore, and just under Rs 1 crore behind Sanju on the all-time Hindi worldwide list.

The numbers

Koimoi's report of Oct. 18 gives these figures after 16 days: India net Rs 341.6 crore, India gross Rs 403.1 crore, overseas Rs 137.69 crore and worldwide gross Rs 540.79 crore. It lists the budget as Rs 110 crore.

The site places the film 22nd on the all-time worldwide list of Hindi films. Padmaavat, with Rs 560 crore, is 20th, and Sanju, with Rs 541.76 crore, is 21st, according to the same report. At Rs 540.79 crore, the film is Rs 0.97 crore short of Sanju.

Earlier counts show the climb. The Times of India put the film at Rs 509 crore worldwide and Rs 328.75 crore India net on Day 13. Free Press Journal reported on Day 12 that it had crossed Rs 500 crore worldwide. Pinkvilla reported Rs 236 crore India net in the first week and Rs 370 crore worldwide.

Trackers disagree slightly. One site, Sacnic, lists the India figure at Rs 341.10 crore, against Koimoi's Rs 341.6 crore.

The film

Abhishek Pathak directs. Devgn returns as Vijay Salgaonkar, with Tabu, Shriya Saran, Jaideep Ahlawat, Prakash Raj and Rajat Kapoor in the cast. The film opened on Oct. 2. Ahlawat plays a new Crime Branch investigator.

The reviews we read are mixed. Outlook says the film delivers twists but struggles to match the earlier ones, and that some developments arrive because the screenplay needs them. It says Devgn relies on his eyes and that Tabu has less room than expected. India Today's review credits Ahlawat for making the hero look beatable.

Why it matters

The Drishyam films are built around one man outthinking the police, and Koimoi's table now ranks the third film 22nd on its all-time Hindi worldwide list. The reported total is close to two milestones, and later trade updates will show whether it passes them.

What we could not confirm

All collection numbers are trade estimates or producer-linked figures, not audited. Koimoi's ROI and profit lines depend on a reported budget that we could not verify. Padmaavat's total is also a trade figure, and other trackers may differ. We have not seen the film.
